- Collect silicon-rubber tip from the tip
box using the PickPen. Extend the magnet 2-3 times to check that the tip is firmly in place.
- Extend the magnetic tip and dip
into the suspension
containing the magnetic particles and begin to collect. Stirring the tip gently in the
suspension improves magnetic particle collection speed.
- Once you have collected the
magnetic particles withdraw the PickPen from the solution. The particles will remain attached
to the tip.
- Insert the PickPen tip into the next
solution and release the particles by withdrawing the magnet. Stir gently to release the particles.
