IS-293 Media Range

These serum-free media formulations are optimized to promote long-term, high density culture of
293 cells and excellent levels of adenovirus or recombinant protein expression 

   

IS-293 and IS-293-V serum-free media are formulations optimized for the culture of 293 human embryonic kidney cells used in the production of Adenovirus or recombinant proteins. These media can also be used for growth of HeLa cells, myelomas, hybridomas and human breast cancer cells. IS-293-V provides comparable performance to IS-293 without human or mammalian-derived components. All media formulations in the IS-293 range undergo rigorous performance testing to ensure consistent high levels of cell growth and protein expression.

IS-293

 IS-293 serum-free medium contains 10mg/mL of total protein (human transferrin and recombinant human insulin) and has been optimized to limit cell aggregation in suspension cultures. This medium was designed for use in 5% CO2 and has a shelf life of 6 months at 2-8oC. Available in 500mL and 1000mL sizes.

IS-293-V

 IS-293-V is a modified version of IS-293 without transferrin. This media requires supplementation with a non-protein iron chelate for optimal performance. This media must also be supplemented with 0.1% Pluronic F-68 for suspension cultures. Available in 500mL and 1000mL sizes.
